| Valentines for the Single |

Happy day of excruciating depression for those who find their beds empty at night. But also, happy day of potential arguments over a late arrival at an expensive restaurant, which results in the foreign occupancy of your reserved table or the ever-present forgetful nature of busy, professional and married men.
While my bed may be particularly cold on a late, Manhattan night, I take comfort in using this day just the same as every other. Don't hold expectations and if you're in a abnormally sweet mood, extended the heart. Called Mother and Dad, sent them flowers and thankfully, they had already arrived by the time they picked up the phone. The usual pestering inquiries about my health followed, but a new batch has settled in recently that gives my stomach an unusual churn. Just another reminder of "Are You Ready?"
Magically and much to their surprise, I have called Brandon. He's fine, as always. Working on a new album with the band and there were no negative comments. Even he implemented the unsettling test, but I was lucky enough to have someone to actually quiz just the same.
Despite my busy day of phone calls and pop quizzes, I am planning a nice dinner for Harvey and I. The two very attractive and surprisingly singles that we are must stick together! (I did also get him an obnoxiously large pink teddy bear that's shirt reads "I love you beary much". I KNOW! Isn't it terrible? He'll die!) I figure it's within tradition to rent terrible horror flicks but we're cheap enough to skip out on the fine-dining experience of take-out Chinese. I'm actually making ribeye, asparagus and rice. Then I found a delicious recipe for a strawberry cake with cream cheese icing. Well, it calls for butter cream but I'm more of a fan of the creamed cheese myself.
So that's my exciting Valentine's/Singles Awareness Day. I wouldn't want to spend it with anybody else than with the "boy who wouldn't share his bike".

September 13, 2008
Only took four hours to get another track down today. I'm pleased with that. Only I went in at eight, so that means I was done with the song by noon. Now it's three. Honestly, I shouldn't have but I was bored and starting messing around with chords. Found out the ones to REM's "Losing my Religion". Since the musicians had all gone home, I was an idiot and recorded it. Now I've got to get a hold of Michael Stipe. It sounds too good to ignore on the new album. We'll see what Martin says. It may have to be a B-side. Only on album two and with all these "B-sides" if I were to die tomorrow, they could keep producing music for years to liven the theory of my zombieness. Just call me 2-Pac. Yeah, right. Now there's a poet. Has anyone ever really sat down at read his lyrics? Might not be exactly clean but with how it fits his life and the environment around him? It's unbelievable. A testament of history, right there. Centuries to come and scientists will want to know how the African-Americans lived in America and they'll look to him as a Plato.
I went over to Harv's yesterday. Writers. Okay, I'm messy when I'm in the writing phase, as well but what the hell. He seriously needs a woman to look after him. It's not disgusting messy, but I don't think he even touches the stove during this time. His diet consists of chips and slices of bread. I understand that he's creating an entire world, not just some five minute stretch of music and that if he's not in the zone, that tiny world's sky would fall on top of them without even a warning but I don't know. God, I'm getting old. Worrying about a thirty-year-old man. Pathetic. He has a mother for that.
Hold the phone.
I just heard a melody.
Fuck. He really is my muse. I'll pick this up later.

storylines the muse| balentine Grew up together, all little Issy had to do was run across the yard and chuck rocks at his window. Their games never stayed within the easy boundaries of good and evil. Creativity was beyond early genius and the only time during their childhood they were not near one another was while she was practicing and he was drawing. He was the one man she could count on, especially during her rough marriage. Her heart's always been soft for him, although he has yet to see her in that light. Songs about him include: Sugar, Leather & God the sketchy agent| He is the reason she is who she is. He hired her on as an actress, sent her to a gig with little knowledge and before she knew it, she was being asked to hold a whip and wear fishnets. As of last year, he was fired but he still occasionally comes around with the promise of a hefty paycheck. (PB open) the Interscope rep| Her legit agent.
